How big can you make a screen?
We can make screens from 3’ to 25’ wide with a maximum height of 17’.
(Hurricane screens may require additional engineering if load bearing span exceeds product approval.)
How long do these take to instal?
At Carolina Power Screens, we understand that each installation is unique, influenced by factors such as complexity and the number of screens required. While installation times can vary, ranging from a few hours to a few days, our dedicated team ensures efficiency without compromising quality.
Each shade is custom built to fit your space, a process that typically takes 3–4 weeks, with additional time sometimes required depending on the manufacturer’s shipping schedule. Once your screens arrive, most installations are completed in less than a day, so you can begin enjoying the benefits right away.
Are these screens adjustable?
Every screen is custom-built to fit perfectly in your space, so you won’t need to worry about making adjustments. The only adjustment you’ll need is raising or lowering the screen height, which you can easily control with the included remote.
Do the retractable insect, shade, or weather screens use zippers?
Will these screens save on energy costs?
No. We’ve reached past the low-hanging fruit of the zipper-based retention screen, which tends toward weakness and blowout, to produce retractable screens that, despite their sleek design, can stand up to whatever nature throws at them. Fenetex developed a thermally fused solid end retention bead that eliminates a sewn or glued zipper and their problems.
Our screens do not bind, kink, pull-out of the tracks or break down from the sun. While not intended for severe weather protection (for that, see our retractable hurricane screens), Fenetex screens will stand up to inclement weather and you won’t have to worry about them if left down on a windy day.
